OUR FAITH
“you must be compassionate, just as your father is compassionate”
LUKE 6:36
what is Orthodox Christianity?
It is the life in faith of the Orthodox Church, inseparable from that concrete, historic community and constituting its whole way of life. The Orthodox Christian faith is that faith “handed once to the saints” (Jude 3), passed on to the apostles by Jesus Christ, and then handed down from one generation to the next within the Church, without adding anything or taking anything away.
The interrelation between Christianity and Our organization?
The Ethiopian/Eritrean Orthodox ‘Tewahedo’ Church is one of the oldest and earliest Christian bodies in the world. It is generally considered to be the traditional religion of the land, and is closely correlated with the national identity. As students who identify within Orthodox Tewahedo; religion is an essential and daily practice in our day-to-day lives. We are inspired to humbly, and truly begin our guest upon providing aid to the Seattle Homeless population with the help and guidance of our religion/faith.
With our Non-Profit Organization it is our biggest objective to spread Christianity beyond our borders, and within people through the simple act of giving. We are dictated and intrigued to spread Christianity in a way that inspires people to act upon their good intentions, and their God given intuitive.
